Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 28, 2026

This website, www.cedarlane.net, is run by the Cedar Lane Management Group to promote the Cedar Lane Business District in Teaneck, New Jersey, and its shops, restaurants, professional services and community organizations. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit the site, how we use it and the choices you have.

Information you give us

• Contact form: when you write to us through the Contact page we receive your name, email address, phone number, company and the message you send. We use it only to answer you and to follow up on your request.
• Business directory messages: the “Send Message” form on a business listing sends your name, email, phone and message to that business so it can reply to you directly. The business handles your message under its own practices.
• Directory listings: businesses that ask to be listed give us their business name, address, phone, website, hours and description, which we publish in the directory.

Information collected automatically

• Analytics: we use Google Analytics to understand which pages are visited and how visitors find the site. It records things such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type. We do not use it to identify you personally.
• Spam protection: our forms use Google reCAPTCHA, which checks browser and interaction signals to tell people from automated spam.
• Security and performance: the site is delivered through Cloudflare, which processes IP addresses and request data to protect the site and keep it fast.
• Accessibility and translation tools: the accessibility toolbar and translation features may store your display preferences in your browser.

How we use information

We use information to answer inquiries, connect visitors with Cedar Lane businesses, publish and update the business directory, share district news and events, keep the website secure and improve it. We do not sell your personal information.

Sharing

We share information only with the business you choose to contact, with service providers that run the website for us (hosting, email delivery, analytics, security and spam protection), or when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep contact messages as long as needed to handle your request and for reasonable record keeping, then delete them. Directory information stays published until the business asks us to change or remove it.

Your choices

You can ask us to see, correct or delete information you sent us, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. See our Cookie Policy for details.

Children

This website is meant for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their personal information.
